Observations on cycling, now that I commute into work, that are best
presented as a list as my poor little overworked brain can't manage to
string together a coherent blog post:
- It's awesome
- I never thought I'd be this enthusiastic about it
- I've now been cycling into work for just under 2 months, when winter hits I may chicken out.
- Pedestrians are sheep. No, thicker than sheep.
- The trip into work is less strenuous than the one home. This is a good thing as I'm more motivated in the evening than in the morning to get on the bike.
- At first I hated the traffic-y scary bits but I'm getting a small adrenaline hit off them now. The Perilous Crossing of Vauxhall Bridge is becoming more and more enjoyable.
- Today, for the first time, I had the awesome Tour de France style pack of cyclists moment. About 10 of us grouped in the bus lane on the A24. It was everything I'd hoped it would be. I am part of something.
