I'm moving

Hi to my few readers!

It's been ages, and there's been a lot contributing to that, not least the fact that I've moved into a new role at work that is eating my brain in little nibbles every day (in a good way) so that I'm pretty pooped come evenings/weekends.

So I've decided that I don't blog enough to warrant paying to do so year after year, so I'm moving back to blogspot. You can find my new blog here: http://rockit-girl-za.blogspot.com/ - please update your links/blogrolls.

And when I say new, I mean new - I'm not importing any of my old writing because (a) I don't really know how to, (b) don't really care enough to learn how to and (c) am rather liking the idea of a fresh start.

So, I give it a week, maybe 2, before I don't own this URL anymore; so please update if you're still reading. I'm still on FB, flickr, and twitter at the usual spots so haven't disappeared. See you on the other side.

Nat, not sure what sort of hosting platform you're using, but there should be some interface to access the database storing all your blog posts, and then dumping it to a file.

Also, check out The Movable Type Import / Export Format, it might be that Movable Type can export your posts to some flattened text.

I think it's worth the effort to try and save the data, even if you might not be importing it to Blogspot - you just don't ever want the regret of "damn, shoulda saved those posts!".

If you change your mind and need some help, I'd be happy to have a look at it for you.
